The story of the movie Conviction rounds on the family living in Ayer who's been a victim of brutal killing way back in 1980's. One of their surviving family member was Melrose Brow, the daughter of Katharina, the mother who has been brutally stabbed to death. Her family and her camp are now asking Hilary Swank to talk about the indicted film on their family because somehow, they feel something different rather than the famous appearances of the stars.

According to her recent interview with Larry King Live recently,

The actress portrays Betty Anne Waters, the crusading sister of Kenneth Waters, who was convicted of killing Brow in 1983. He served 18 years in prison while his high-school dropout sister put herself through law school to fight for Waters' release. DNA evidence exonerated him in 2001. - Third Age

It's because probably, the filmmakers are not aware of this other issue far from what they know on the past documentation of the crime scene. We cannot deny that everything could actually goes to a tough and serious matter because somehow, they need to consider the privacy of Melrose Brow's family.
